I am horrified. You guys really don't see this as the primary principle of play, from the get-go? It seems like something new to you?

This makes...
BR go "It isn't that its new..." It's just that its one of those unexamined things that when someone finally puts full words to makes you realize, fully for the first time, what it is you've been doing (and doing wrong).
VAX go "Typical."
KM go "I think I understand Meg better" No offence Ron or Vincent, but the usage of wierd metaphors is what makes it seem new and exciting. The way that Meguey described it is the way that I always understood it. Although Vincent's later clarification makes sense too.
BN go "Isn't it "to have fun"?" I thought the primary principle of play is to have fun. No, this vortex diagram jargon thingy wasn't obvious to me; no one has bothered to talk about it before now.
