Even with wish-fulfilment, I'm still not seeing they're independent modes of play. Why can't I sometimes want my wishes fulfilled and sometimes challenged? Where's the room for "Challenge me being a badass, but only occasionally"? Or "Challenge me being a badass, but don't ever challenge my chivalry?". Because I think we play like that. I had a character in Steal Away Jordan. Everyone was welcome to challenge him to be violent, but I didn't like it when someone put him in a situation where he might be violent to a woman. Graham |
