Bad idea.

The whole rant should have been written as 'we' shouldn't do this, or 'we' should do that.  Not a finger-pointing 'you'.

A few years back, pro-playtesting advocates framed their points in absolutist terms.
Pity the poor aspiring designer who followed the advice of his betters, only to now be admonished with brimstone bluster from the opposite side.

Or don't pity them. Maybe they had it coming for being fanboy sheep?

The pro- and anti- playtest t each-other, rather than at the student body. Firey sermons are crowd pleasers, such as indie design manifestos and seminars; but the approach is more Glenn Beck and less 'bed practices manual'.

Gawd. Who died and made me the arbiter of style, eh?
