I think Ben used a lot of grumpy words and profanity, and sure, whatever, be offended if that offends you, you come by your offense honestly. I wouldn't talk that way publicly on the Internet, although I know a lot of people who would. I married one! (Not Ben.) It has lead to much eye-rolling on my part when things are couched in hyperbole, but it's not like that makes it completely unreadable.
I also think it's incredibly useful information that helped me find my way around a serious block playtesting wouldn't have been able to help me with.
