In our AW game, Matt didn't choose to violate our social expectations, and the rules never forced him to.  Thus, afterward, everyone spoke of the game as "not producing unwelcome outcomes".

When I work on design problems, I do tend to start with, "If I was playing, and this rule or procedure came up, what would I do?"  What orientation do you take?
