But seriously, unless you have parent and daughter threads, you do have solidified threads creating solidified wisdom.  I didn't see that, though I did see a lot of repeating.

Follow-up threads (rarely seen).

New posters revisiting subject, send to solidified "canon" thread.

No evolution of the solidified concept.

I stand by my conclusion that the result was a need to break free and that closing the comments seems like the only good choice.

A functional solidified canon is the same, from a pragmatic approach, as one intended to be one. I'm not accusing anyone of impure or wrongful behavoir or intent (whatever that means).

I think mainly it is more of a data base than a cannon. It's a pile of research that will eventually be sifted and organized for consumption.
