I don't think we need to argue about it, though. I concede that RPGs are AS equipped to influence change as lit or film. That, to me, is an exciting revelation. Every bit as exciting as if they were moreso, actually.

RPGs demand you invest more effort than books (which in turn demand more effort than movies & TV), which in itself is a change in your behavior, and active doing builds new habits more strongly than passive watching.
