It addresses players who want to use techniques to cordon off their character and pretend that everyone has a "silo" of fun for themselves, and that we kinda, sorta have the characters do stuff together ... but it's still My Guy so back off.



 

This makes SLB go "Not really."
It addresses those players by creating games that they are guaranteed not to enjoy. I do not think this is a good solution.

I think it is a good solution; I had exactly that reaction to a Torchbearer playtest, and the process of the "silo" player's understanding and leaving was amazing, great.
