My trouble is that I'm all for your endeavour but really don't click with the way you typically seem to go about it.  And this is one of the reasons I've always felt a big chasm between myself and folks like you and Ron.  And it's one of the reasons I peak at Anyway whenever anybody links me to it (because you same some interesting, valuable stuff), but I don't read it regularly.

Yes, push the boundaries of roleplaying!

Yes, figure out what makes all this stuff tick!

But then I look at how you're going about doing that and it's not something I really want to be a part of.  Our goals are the same but our methods are way, WAY different.  And it's not just about communicating poorly.

So, yeah, all about the big-E Endeavor, but not so hot on the endeavor-of-the-week.  And I'm glad you're out there pushing the boundaries in your own way, but I'm going to be over here on the other side working on the same thing in a completely different way.

This makes Judd go "A link to your Endeavor?"
I'd love to read your way. Can I get a link?

This makes AG go ""Like you and Ron"?!"
Odd thing is, I consider Vincent to be an excellent communicator -- clear, concise, colorful -- and Ron to be, um, not.

This makes CRN go "This is the problem."
Because Vincent's a friendly and nice-to-talk-to person, people want to agree with him and be part of his circle, even when they seriously don't agree. Also, the difference between the methods - Vincent -> play; JW -> talk.

This makes SDM go "You got me"
Your marginalia, Clinton, IDs me way too well.

This makes JW go "A Different Way"
The last two games I wrote were Kazekami Kyoko Kills Kublai Khan (Jan) and Waiting/Tea (Feb/March). I'm in the middle of working on an article about a new approach to play/design, the most recent draft of which is up at Story Games. Clinton, I was going to take offense; then I realized your absolutely right, but not in the way you necessarily mean. Also I don't know how we've started down this "Clinton hates Jonathan" road, but I'd love to be on another path, if we can get there.

This makes NinJ go "Fer fuck's sake."
