Twenty-odd years ago I gave all my Lego sets away to a younger cousin.

There's a big Toys-backwards-R-Us just a few blocks from my office. It's got a whole Lego section, including a bulk section where you can pick individual pieces out of bins and (I think) pay for them by the pound. I am so going there after work.

It might be too late to get together enough stuff for a game at tonight's boardgame club, but next week, yeah.

Damnit, Vincent, twenty years on the wagon and now you've got me going to a bar.

This makes JC go "Boardgame club?"
Avram, you wouldn't happen to be in Central Ohio, would you? (Slim chance, but you never know)

This makes AG go "Sorry, I'm in NYC"

This makes JN go "NYC is the Best!"
Avram, where's the TRU you were mentioning? Since I'm in NYC too I'm eager to buy tons of legos!

This makes AG go "Times Square..."
...but it turns out they don't sell Lego by the pound. You can get a bag, fill it from the bins, and pay $20 for it, but there doesn't seem to be any way to get, say, a quarter of a bag for $5. Shame, 'cause they've got bins full of those one- and two-pronged hinge bricks that Vincent uses for mech legs. Oh, and the X-Pods are over near the cash registers; it took me a while to find 'em.
