Any day where someone mentions me and David Mamet in the same sentence is a good day. I'll take "you know, Vincent, you're not as good as David Mamet," and be really flattered.
I'll read On Directing Film.

Actually, that sleight isn't accurate. I meant to make a DIFFERENT sleight.
(Your "Roleplaying Theory, hardcore" is actually more virtuoso a summary, than Mamet's essays.)
The insult I had intended to make was this: Mamet pretty-much only has 100 pages worth of great advice in him. That's ALL THERE IS to his process. His other writing and acting manuals are hopeless.
But this means that I can read On Directing Film, get it, and get on with my life; a changed man.
Whereas you and Ron have this bad habit of discovering more & more stuff... so a fella has to try to KEEP UP. People liked Moses because he kept it down to 10 commandments; no updates.
Let me know when you're -done- kicking ass, so I can browse the wikipedia entry.
:)
This makes Curly go "Somebody shut me up"
Jeez, what a load of babble.
Just read the Mamet book and I'd love to hear whether you dig it.
