It's doing the right thing, right now, for a specific person in a specific situation, that's the crunch, anyway. (And why I enjoy "thematic" aka "Narrativist" aka "Story Now" roleplay).
What I get from Christianity that I can't get anywhere else as well is the strength to try to live up to those ethics in spite of all my human failings.
