Heavy Gear is a bunch of awesome stuff that the designers don't want you to touch. The setting's fine, but you can't do anything with it. You're doomed to insignificance by the system itself.
I own a bunch of Heavy Gear stuff because I like the drawings and have used them as inspiration for a game of my own. The game, you can keep.
