Oh! It was Danielle's sister. She hates the velcro shoulder thingies.

This makes VB go "but..."
But she likes the new boots a lot.

This makes MB go "Yeah, the velcro idea is doomed."
It'll snag on stuff, get lost, and lose it's 'stick' after a short time of actual wear. If they didn't test the velcro patches idea for at least a month of heavy wear, real drag-through-the-mud practice, it's not enough. Good boots, though, and other bits seem smart.

This makes KSB go "So you got army initiation"
But I am wondering what have you planned these future supersoilders are going to be fighting. Giant ants or fellow humans over a goal that is vague and not really understood by the troops? Just curious.

This makes Curly go "YOU'LL DIG THIS"
"Future Force Warrior" is the Pentagon's name for its Concept Designs for the year 2010 & 2020: http://www.infowars.com/print/ps/future_warrior.htm A friend of mine is one of the handful of hipster nyc liberal design-school types who comprise "Crye Associates"-- who won the contract to design this stuff. Order the Sept/Oct 2003 back-issue of "I.D. Magazine" for an excellent article about the ninja turtle armor & robot donkeys Crye has designed for tomorrow's Iraq occupiers.
